Collection of General Data and Information

To the furthest possible extent, we always leave it up to you if you want to share your data with us. Some data, known as inventory data, is transmitted automatically by your computer. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, and the date and time of your visit.

When using this general data, LAUDA does not trace it to the individual in question. The information is required to deliver the content of our website correctly, to optimize its functional capacity, and to provide the authorities with the necessary information in the event of a cyber attack.

This data is therefore evaluated by LAUDA on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR) to improve the quality of our advice, both statistically and with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company, in order ultimately to ensure an optimal level of protection for personal data that is processed by us. Customer data collected by us will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods remain unaffected. You can find out how we store data in the case of applications in the section 'Data protection for applications and in the application procedure'.

Cookies on the LAUDA Website

The LAUDA website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website and that remember certain settings, in order to provide you with a more personalized user experience. As a result, the user does not need to re-enter their login details every time they visit a website, for example, because the stored cookie remembers them. Another example is the cookie for the shopping basket in an online shop. The online shop remembers the items that a customer has placed in the virtual shopping basket by means of a cookie.

If you do not want to use cookies, they can simply be deleted via the menu of your respective browser and permanently disabled. In this case, however, it may not be possible to use all the function of the website to their full extent. You can also view the individual cookies used on our website in your browser.

How LAUDA Uses Cookies

By using cookies, LAUDA can provide users of its website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without cookies. By means of cookies, the information and services on our website can be optimized for the user. Cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR: LAUDA has a legitimate interest in analyzing your usage history in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website will not be passed on to third parties. As previously mentioned, cookies enable us to recognize users of our website. LAUDA only uses cookies to save technical information, such as country selection within the retailer and representative search or screen resolution.

Which cookies does the website specifically use?

Personal Data Collected via the Contact Form or via info@lauda.de

On our website, you have the option to contact us via contact forms or our e-mail address info@lauda.de. The personal data collected via the forms is used solely for the purpose of processing your inquiry internally within the respective department. In order to implement or initiate a possible contractual relationship, it may be necessary for data to be passed on to other LAUDA companies in the LAUDA Group or our sales partners, including in a third country. Data will only be shared to the extent that is actually necessary.

The processing of data entered is based on our legitimate interest in contacting our customers and improving the quality of our advice. (Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR). If the contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 letter b GDPR.

The data you provide will remain with us until you request us to delete it or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). An exception to this may be statutory storage obligations.

Sending of the newsletter via Mailingwork

We use the service Mailingwork to send our newsletter. The provider of this service is Mailingwork GmbH, Birkenweg 7, 09569 Oederan, Germany.

Success analysis via Mailingwork

To analyze the success of our newsletter, the emails sent via Mailingwork contain a web beacon or “counting pixel”, which responds to interactions with the newsletter. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter was opened, whether links were clicked, or at what time the newsletter was read.

  • Meta and communication data (e.g. device information, IP address)
  • Usage data (e.g. interests, access times)
  • Anonymized sender ID, to assign the opening of an email sent by LAUDA

Legal basis

The data collected via the input form and success analysis is processed with your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time. The legality of any data processing that took place in the past remains unaffected by the revocation. A link is provided in every newsletter for this purpose.

Any remaining data is stored to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, we use the data to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. These purposes are also our legitimate interest in data processing according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.

Storage period

The data collected for the purpose of sending our newsletter is stored until the revocation of you consent, at which point it is anonymized, with the exception of the following data.

From one day after the revocation of your consent, Mailingwork will only store the following personal data to ensure compliance with the revocation:

  • Email address that has been unsubscribed
  • Time of unsubscribing
  • MAILINGWORK's internal unsubscription ID
  • Subscriber list from which the address has been removed

In such a case, our newsletter will only contain direct advertising for similar goods or services of our own.

When providing your email address and in every email we send thereafter, you will be reminded that you may revoke your consent to its use at any time. No charges apply, other than the transmission cost at the basic rate.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses the web analytics service, Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your computer and enable us to analyze how you use our website. The information that is generated by the cookies about your use of our website is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will first be abbreviated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. As a rule, no data is forwarded to a third country, but if this is the case, this is done within the framework of appropriate guarantees within the meaning of Article 46 of the EU GDPR.

Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of the website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports about website activities and to provide further services associated with website and Internet use to the website operator.

The IP address transferred by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, we must point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by cookies about your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:

Browser add-on for the deactivation of Google Analytics.

More information about the terms of use and data protection is available at www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html or at policies.google.com. (Source: www.datenschutzbeauftragter-info.de)

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both his website and his advertising.

Use of Google Maps

We use Google Maps to present our worldwide activities. This enables us to show you interactive maps on the website and enables you to quickly find your nearest LAUDA partner.

By using it, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding function on our website, regardless of whether you have a Google Account or not. If you are logged in to Google, your information will be associated with your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before accessing a map. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and the design of its website to meet your needs. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular - even for users who are not logged in - to play out demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to this procedure. To do so, you must contact Google directly.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of a comfortable presentation of our locations and worldwide offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google Maps can be found in the data protection declarations of the American company. There you will also find information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy.
