The perfect addition to heating thermostats: LAUDA Through-flow coolers

LAUDA Through-flow coolers upgrade any type of thermostat with pump connections to produce a high-quality cooling thermostat and thus allow working below room temperature. Through-flow coolers replace mains water cooling that is expensive and ecologically not sensible. They provide a constant flow and temperature of the cooling water regardless of the variations. Thus it is possible to ensure optimum temperature control over the entire period and allow reproducible temperature conditions at any time.

Advantages

- Air-cooled, fully hermetic and thus absolutely maintenancefree cooling
aggregates with heat exchangers in ample dimensions
- Heat exchangers are made from stainless steel
- All parts inside the through-flow cooler are perfectly insulated.
Therefore no water of condensation and no danger of rust
- The Through-flow cooler automatically stops running when the connected
thermostat of series C/K edition 2000, Ultra and Ecoline with control head
E 300 is switched off. So the Through-flow cooler is protected against
  freezing
- Proportional cooling when using the DLK 45 with thermostat with
  control head P

Application1

Supplying cold quickly: LAUDA immersion coolers

LAUDA immersion coolers provide a quick way to extend the temperature range downwards when used with heating thermostats, water baths and cooling traps. Although the units work on the classical principle of direct evaporation, they can also be used without any problems by means of the flexible hose connection and with guaranteed long-term security of operation. And they are optimal when it comes to capacity, case size and price, the ETK 50 even has temperature control.

Advantages

- Compact construction, therefore small space required
- Carrying handles for easy transport
- Cooling coil made from high-grade stainless steel
- Lateral holder for the cooling coil
- Flexible and heat-insulated tube connection (length 1.5 m)

New: The controlled circulation heat exchanger LAUDA UWT

The UWT circulation heat exchanger is connected to a building’s coolant supply. With the UWT, the coolant is fed through the primary side of a heat exchanger. The circulation system of the circulation heat exchanger is connected to a secondary side. It comprises an open bath vessel and a circulating pump. When necessary, a thermostat opens a shut-off solenoid valve in the primary circuit and, via the heat exchanger, feeds the bath with a refrigerating capacity until the pre-set reference temperature has been reached.

Advantages

- Good temperature stability during the cooling process up
to ±1K even in the event of fluctuating temperatures
  in the primary circuit.
- Consumer-adapted cooling and pump capacities increase process
  reliability.
- Constant pressure and flow properties ensure reliable heat removal
even with fluctuations in the primary circuit.
- Separation of the coolants in the primary and the secondary circuits
prevents the consumer and the primary circuit from becoming
dirty, and extends the service life.
- Use of a building’s cold water supply saves costs because no extra
  refrigeration system is needed.
