Convenient Windows-based operation

All PVS system configurations can be controlled over an interface from any commercially available PC. The standard version of this user-friendly yet powerful PC program performs all of the calculations needed to determine the kinematic, dynamic, relative, reduced, and inherent viscosity, as well as the K-Value, completely automatically based on the obtained measured values. Additional software modules can be integrated in the basic software for determination of additional material characteristics.

Basic software
- Windows software for all commercially available PCs and operating systems
- Simultaneous operation of up to eight measuring stands

Calculation and representation of:
- Throughput times and their average
- Standard deviation
- Hagenbach correction (Kinetic energy correction)
- Absolute kinematic viscosity
- Absolute dynamic viscosity
- Relative viscosity
- Reduced viscosity (viscosity number)
- Inherent viscosity (logarithmic viscosity number)
- K-Value according to Fickentscher

Additional software modules

INV-DLL
Determines the intrinsic viscosity of polymers (limiting viscosity, Staudinger Index) and their mean molecular weight (chain length).
The INV-DLL module offers six different methods of determining intrinsic viscosity:
- Formula according to Schulz-Blaschke
- Formula according to Billmeyer
- Formula according to Solomon-Ciuta
- Point-slope method
- Linear regression with parallel measurement
- Linear regression with serial measurement

It also allows the calculation of
- Molecular mass according to Mark-Houwink

VID-DLL
Determines the viscosity index of oils in accordance with ISO 2909, ASTM 2270, ASTM 445/446, and IP 226/91.

ENZ-DLL
Determines the reaction activities of certain enzymes derived from the time-dependence of the viscosity.
