"Fascinating universe. A journey through space and time"
The special exhibition "Fascinating universe. A journey through space and time" opened at the Deutschordensmuseum in Bad Mergentheim on 8 April 2011.
Images, spectacular research findings and other phenomena are all clearly explained in the exhibition. Monitors also display other photos and films of the universe that have been captured on research missions. The exhibition endeavors to convey the fascination exuded by the universe to children and adults with the aim of triggering an interest in tackling scientific themes.
LAUDA is one of the sponsors of this exhibition and is also displaying a related customer application - namely the application of a temperature stress test of so-called traveling wave tubes with an Integral XT 250 W process thermostat. Used in satellites, the tubes serve as booster systems for microwave signals. The customer's application simulates the fluctuating exterior conditions in space that the traveling wave tubes are exposed to, which range between -40 and 90 °C.
Opening hours: 8 April to 18 September 2011 Tuesday - Sunday from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
